Local Beaches

Pen y Graig Old Farm is situated near the A5 and Ty Pengarreg Cottage Flat is on the A5 in very convenient locations. This is Thomas Telford's Historic Coach Road through the mountains of Snowdonia.

Both properties have sunny positions and spectacular mountain views. Bethesda is about a 25 minute walk from the flat and a 10 minute walk from the cottage - pavement all the way!

Access to the Ogwen Valley is through the mountains along the A5 or via the A55 coast road, then turn on the A5, signposted Betws y Coed for Bethesda.

In Bethesda we have an old fashioned homely High Street with butchers, bakers, Spar & Post Office, pubs, antiquarian book shop, delicatessen, outdoor, souvenir & craft shops.

The Welsh mountains and passes have long been admired by visitors for at least three centuries. Snowdonia particularly, has a spectacular variety of scenery from mountains to every sort of coastline.

There are lovely Blue Flag beaches, about 20 minutes drive away and rocky shores and seaside resorts. None of which will be packed with people. There are many lakes in the area, some quite secluded, offering a picturesque and tranquil spot for quiet relaxation.
